How we earn commission and what that means for editorial independence.
What affiliate commission is
BritBetTop operates on an affiliate model. Several of the sports betting operators listed on this site have affiliate programmes. When we link to an operator using an affiliate link and a visitor subsequently registers and places a qualifying bet, we receive a commission from that operator. This is how the site is funded.
Affiliate commission is a standard model for comparison and review websites in many industries. It does not cost you anything — the commission is paid to us by the operator as a referral fee.
Which links are affiliate links?
The primary “Visit operator” buttons on sportsbook comparison cards are affiliate links. These links direct you to the operator's website and include tracking parameters in the URL to identify the referral. They carry a rel="noopener sponsored" attribute in the HTML code.
Informational links to official regulator and safer gambling organisations (such as the UK Gambling Commission, GamCare, GambleAware, and GAMSTOP) are not affiliate links.
Does commission affect editorial scores?
No. Our editorial comparison scores and review content are produced independently of any commercial arrangement. Operators do not pay for reviews, scores, or placement on this site. We do not write positive reviews in exchange for commission rates.

What BritBetTop does not do
Affiliate commission does not make BritBetTop a bookmaker, an agent of any operator, or a party to any betting transaction. We do not:
- Operate sportsbooks or betting services
- Accept bets, wagers, deposits, or withdrawals
- Set odds or determine markets
- Settle bets or resolve betting disputes
- Manage customer accounts
- Issue, fund, or control promotional offers or free bets
- Provide customer support for accounts, payments, or settlement
Operator independence
Each listed sports betting operator is an entirely independent business. The operator controls its own odds, markets, terms, account eligibility, customer support, and responsible gambling tools. These are not controlled by BritBetTop and can change at any time.
You should always read the operator's own terms and conditions directly on their site before registering, depositing, or opting in to any offer.
Offers and accuracy
We aim to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date. However, sportsbook operators can change or withdraw odds, markets, and offers at any time. We cannot guarantee that what you see here reflects the current state of an operator's products. Always verify directly with the operator.
Regulatory note
BritBetTop is a comparison and information website, not a gambling operator. We are not required to hold a UK Gambling Commission operating licence. The operators we list are each required to hold a valid UKGC licence to offer betting services to UK customers. You can check operator licences at gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
